RENTALS & SPONSORSHIPS

The Chelsea works with community groups and individuals to make its facilities and programs accessible to the broadest possible audience. We welcome proposals from topical film screenings and discussions, to showcasing new work by area filmmakers. The following guidelines are for current initiatives.

Community Partnerships

These are films screenings open to the public, often with panel discussions or guest speakers, that engage in themes of community interest such as arts and culture, social justice, the environment, and education. Typically, the Chelsea retains ticket fees in order to cover basic theater operating expenses, although other fee structures may be considered depending on the type of event.

Rentals

Space is available on a limited basis, typically on a Monday or Tuesday or weekday mornings due to the requirements of our ongoing public programming. In addition to being fully equipped for film showings, we have capability for lecture-style presentations with microphones, PowerPoint , Zoom and internet access. Use of the lobby and concessions may be arranged based on group size.

Discounted rentals: Nonprofit groups, schools, filmmakers, and artists who do not fit the community partnership model may rent a theater at a discount.
